Refinishing Magura calipers...yellow colour choice?

I've got a solid and functional set of HS33s which are unfortunately a bit cobbled together. Yellow Raceline levers, 3 red slave cylinders and one black one, one purple and one red booster!

I'm planning to refinish the boosters and slave cylinders. I think I'll use Luminous Yellow RAL 1026. Reckon this will look right?

Also, reckon the seals would get on with paint stripper? I can sand them down but it sure would be faster if I could just seal the main ports and dip the slave in some stripping chemical.

I can certainly see the concern in using an acetone based agent on the paint, more wondering if something acid based would work...Then on 2nd thoughts I guess that may be an issue for the alloy cylinder bodies.


Should I just flat down, white etch prime and yellow over the old paint?
