Recommended MTB shoes?

I can reccomend Spesh shoes. I've also got wide feet and had 'issues' with shoes in the past. So far the spesh ones have been faultless.

Also recommend Spec. I have wide feet and a high instep and they fit lovely. Shimano MP66's are very comfy if you are after a less racey style of shoe.

Not had these particular ones but have had two pairs of diadora shoes previously. Cheap mountain bike shoes that had not too stiff soles sloppy fit bit lasted well - two years or so of fairly constant use until I got tired of them

More expensive road shoes - stiff sole - too tight and rachet strap broke after less than a season.

So I haven't found them very consistent really.
