Shotpeening or sandblasting carbon or aluminum is not generally recommended.

Depends on the blast media used of course . A mate who had his own company could use a media so light it could put fancy frosting onto glass .

Take a sheet of glass , mask off a picture and frost away .

It does take about 6 or seven coats on hardcore old Du-pont paints.

Stipple it in with a paintbrush.


Get a wire brush drill attachment to go in-between the welds.

Messy and boring but worth the effort.
