after much messing around i completed the 856 build today.
first ride tomorrow afternoon :D
i will post some pic's over the weekend.
by the way, the Paul Component Motolite v-brakes are the most powerfull i have ever used.

it rides very well.
Proflex don't seem to be too popular in the UK but, they have a good following in the US.
it's a simple suspension design but, pretty effective.
 
looks like a nice bike!
Quick tweak on the stem/bar ends and use a seatpin and it would be sweet!!

Went out a few months ago with a guy who rides one of those or some similar as a full time bike. Went round conti trail in Wales and his oldy Hope mechanical disc brake shot through the pads giving that nice metal on metal effect. nice. :D
 
Looks pretty sorted. The red ano on the black looks cool, hope you manage to sort another spin too.
Level that saddle out though, you can tell you used to ride BMX back in the day ... :wink:

As I recall proflex were pretty popular mid 90s. They just never moved on really.
