Just wondered if any one else had tried one of these new re-pro turbo saddles ?

I bought one via ebay 10 days ago, I went for a 20min shake down ride yesterday and all the wording on the front and sides pealed straight off .......... did I get a bad one or are they all like this ?
It was a white one with black wording.

Anoyed that I sold my Rolls to have this as a change and now I'm gona have to buy another rolls when funds are there.

Re:

yep, the logos wear off completely within 100 miles. I've got two of these re-pros, and they aren't as good as the originals. Had I known the logos would disappear i'd of put something over the logos to protect them, clear nail varnish perhaps?

hi would you say the comfort levels are the same as the old turbo's chaps ?

Once softened up and worn in a bit they are very comfy, not so sure they are as nice as the originals in terms of quality of materials used, but finding an original that isn't bashed or scuffed is a difficult task. If you can find one of the re-pro's for £15 - £20 new then you really won't have lost out.

thanks finney, could 'nt find much between these and the rolls, comfort wise, years ago.
have got a selle italia 'turbo matic' looks ok.
the biggest disapointment comfort wise, for me was the vetta sl titanium rail.

I prefer a Rolls on an all day ride, sign of my age me thinks!!!
I prefer the looks of a Turbo simply as it's an iconic image from the pro peloton.
I had a TurboMatic2 but it got soaked and smelt like a dead dog so that got binned.
I've got a Vetta SL steel rail in a box somewhere, I should dig that out and see how that feels.

Re:

The old Turbo's didn't last too long until the cover split either. Rolls vastly superior in terms of wear in my experience...
