Now built with period ish Chorus 10 Speed and Campagnolo Electron wheels - so maybe a hilly TT special, but they are the only wheels I have spare in 130mm. Just a set of tyres to go and then hopefully the first run out Ben t weekend.

Apparently just one of five built to this spec in 853, and still never ridden

Looks interesting.

I would say the rear gear cable outer from frame to mech looks a little short. but if it changes ok...
Gears look a little tough for going uphill - unless you are a particularly fit rider.

Otherwise I imagine about it looks about as light you could get for a 2x10 853, quil stem bike.

Tongue in cheek mate - only because of the wheels being about as non aero as you can get but nice and light.

I’ll let you know how it changes when I get out next weekend. Seems OK in a stand

I have a Raleigh Special Products Division 853 TT frame. one of the last produced by SPD, according to the frame number. Aero shaped frame tubes; forks are for 26" wheel, rear is for 700c , single braze-on gear boss on the d/t. Never built up. Maybe I'll get around to building it up it one day........

Picture would be good 🙂

Would love to see that. What number is it? Assume 99**? This have the aero tubing. No braze on for a bottle on the down tube because of the profile, which is a shame because I don’t like the look of a single bottle on the seat tube

Thought I had some pics, but apparently not. I'll take some tomorrow & double check the frame number - from memory it starts with a 9. It does have bosses on d/t for a bottle.
