SOLD
Raleigh Technium "The Chill" - part converted to single-speed but have parts to restore. A google search should bring up some details of this - I was told it was one of the first aluminium frames. Frame size is 21.5" ctc. It shows the usual scapes and a bit of cable rub but no dings or dents that I can see.
As you can see in the photos (link below) I have mostly converted to single-speed beater but have run out of enthusiasm for the project so looking to move on.
It was given to me dismantled with a few bits missing. I have since added :-
New Seat-post (26.8mm)
Seat-pin
Sadle
Missing parts for the rear u-brake (a Shimano br-mt61 caliper that just needs new brake pads.)
New singlespeed chainring bolts.
New chain
Modern rear wheel with conversion kit (DMR DV rim - Shimano Deore hub - Stainless steel spokes)
New Kenda tyres
New cantilever front brake-pads
Grips
Now the bad bit. After finally buying all the parts to get it running I took it for a spin and found that the drive side crank had a stripped thread for the pedals. So you will need to supply a new crank-set to get it running.
I will supply all the bits I removed (original rear wheel, gear parts, shimano biopace chainrings). I have not sold here before but have sold a few bikes and bits on LFGSS forum an plenty of ebay seller feedback (rapepper_uk).
I'm not looking to make money on this but would like to get back what I spent so would like £35 for it.
Final point - it will need collecting from Reading. I will not go to the trouble of boxing and posting.
