Raleigh Team Replica

Good news guys summers nearly here!

It must be because I have finished both my winter projects!

First of my unicorn trilogy........

Raleigh 531c in team colours with Campag gruppo and wheels.
I aquired a frame from its original owner that had been supplied on a sponsor deal in 1984. Originally had been panasonic colours and then used as a training frame finished like this.
Had it media blasted then refinished by the wonderful Gaz at Panel Care Canterbury. This was the third he has done for me and the results are always pleasing.
I did consider Panasonic colours again but I have a lot of TI Raleigh memorabilia including an original admiral shirt so this is how it turned out.....

Maybe everyone should have a Ti liveried bike in the garage :D

I seem to remember that frame being on e-bay, originally sold on e-bay as a bike..............or maybe I'm mistaken.

Re:

I think it was offered complete but was then sold in parts, load of croc d'une parts fired if I remember the guy I bought it from had been supplied it originally. I have seen one refinished in the same way but with yellow not pink. Your right about having one in the garage this sits along side my Europa resto that is now refitted with shimano Deore inc triple mountain goat gearing plus must be the only Europa ever to run Maxi-Car hubs!

Very nice - i have a similar one with a stuck seatpost and currently for sale on ebay..

Great paint job there.
