I've had a conversation with seller. I advised maybe up to £300 to someone trying to recapture their youth (there's a few of us around after all) or more likely 150-200. Which still seems a lot for bit of a hack...however well restored.

Agreed, sort of bike you restore for love. You won't get the money back.
I mean this reminds me of triggers broom, he may of had for 40 years (by the sound of him is half his life) but putting all new components on it doesn’t make it an original restoration. By the looks of that decking as well this person seems like he’s used to not quite doing the job properly.
It’s all gone quiet I suspect a bit humble pie is being eaten right now, that or they’ve banned you because they’ve looked at the post and realised you must be mentally challenged asking such a ridiculous amount of money for something that was clearly bought from Halfords 15 years ago
