Raleigh Rsp250 Parts bin build

OrangePeel26

Retro Newbie
New account but not new to the forum, Returning after a little break from cycling after i broke my leg  Made a new account because i forgot all of the details to my old one

I've had this frame for quite a while and keep saying ill build it up etc etc but never actually do. Now i have the time and the GF has ordered me to either build it up or get rid of it, i have no excuse not to.

Have a donor bike which will be my main source of parts, any other parts will be out of the parts bin or Bought very cheap. Ive also been given a very strict budget so this will be interesting.

Not going for period correct or any of that. Just built up out of whatever i can get my hands on. Before anyone says anything, no the rear wheel with the disc isn't staying on, ill hopefully be swapping it for a rim brake wheel in the next few days. Headset should be going in tomorrow too.

Everything on the frame was loosely fitted so i could get a idea of size etc.

Yeah ill probably be sticking with them, if they dont feel right on this bike ill be swapping the forks around with my Carrera and going v-brake on the front instead of disc.

Marzocchi used to make some nice green forks 8) or maybe something in red ? loads of options there !

First time ive ever put a headset in myself, Took my time and it went in nicely. I thought i had messed it up but took it down to LBS and they said its in there and its fine. :D
