Raleigh RSP 250

Hello everybody

I’ve just finished a ‘bitser’ build (build from leftover bits apparently) and I’m actually really pleased with how it’s turned out!

Forks and wheels were the main additional purchases and accounted for £130 of the total. The rest was part bin (previously destined for another frame or from a donor Carrera that I bought on a cycle to work scheme about 10 years ago but never used!).

It’s based on one of the NOS metallic green Raleigh RSP 250 frames that were knocking about for £30 a while ago:

Frame: NOS Raleigh RSP 250 in deep metallic green

Crankset: Truvativ

Nice.

I was eyeing up those frames not too long ago. They also had a steel one which looked like a '95'ish Raleigh Max frame. nearly bought one but decided to rebuild my original Max frame instead.

Still not finished it though...

Re:

Cheers dude, I tell you what the finish on the frame is lovely.

Reinforced where the headtube meets the downtube. CNC’d around where the chainstays meet the seattube.

It was supplied with the rubber bungs in place that protect it for paint.

It’s bigger that I’d usually build but as it’s destined to be a bit of a pub/towpath bike it’s really comfy.
