Raleigh Record Sprint Series 1 ‘83

Hi all, looking for info for my Record Sprint, well not info but frame number info. The frame number is NL3029599. Took me a while to find it. Cheers in advance! Also looking for a new chain in gold obviously and some dual levers for the brakes.

Nice :). Re the frame number N is for Nottingham, L is for August and the 3 is for 1983.

Would likely be under the seat for that year. Trying to remember when I first saw one, 1978 maybe?
 
Were they even in production in ‘78? I was under the impression ‘83 was the first run? Thanks for the info anyway! 👍🏼
 
You could well be right, I'm 65 this year so my memory of the time isn't cast iron.

Probably mistaking it with seeing the Carlton Corsair /Pro Am duo at the Harrogate Bike Show '78 lol

I can't make out if yours is 23n half or 25 inch frame but I like the look of the 25 inch out of the three sizes they produced. I thought I owned the best 1983 25 inch Sprint around having restored one and buying one that had been hung on a garage wall for years but yours is looking very tidy. I've got a semi rough 21 inch with all original parts apart from rear wheel which is going to have to go. Did you keep up the desire too get yours up to scratch over has life and other interests beat you to it. Are you living in uk
