Hi All,
I have just purchased a 1980s Raleigh Randonneur 531ST frameset which I intend to re-build with a few modern touches. I understand it was one of the best frames you could buy back in the day so should make a good alternative to a complete new custom frameset.
Could anyone who has one please advise whether the sealed bearing alloy Stronglight A9 will fit this frame or whether I will need a longer steerer tube for more stack height?
My current plans are to remove the pump pip on the headtube , remove the top tube cable guide and replace with two ergo stops, respace the rear end to 130mm and re-spray in green or blue with all the original style transfers.
