Raleigh frame size info

Might be about to buy a nice old Raleigh but I don't have the longest legs. Anyone know the published inside leg measurements for a 21 inch framed Raleigh mtb? I can't cock my leg over it before purchase you see...

A 21" mtb is generally viewed as a size Large. If you normally ride a size medium its too big for you. A MTB should usually have a reasonable amount of crotch clearance of the top tube than a road bike. If you ride a 21" road bike I would suggest an 18" or thereabout mtb frame to give that safe clearance for off road performance.

Raleigh MTB's from the late 80's early 90's came in 19.5", 21" and 23". I'm a shortarse at 5'6" and the 19.5 fits me fine (any bigger and I'd be struggling).
