Race Face Ti stem

Looks similar to EX stems but not quite the same as the ones I own and have seen before. Lock ring is different, and the clamp mechanism looks more like a quill part, as opposed to an expanding clamp.

As already posted by..cough cough...myself...but I would appreciate some knowledge from a RF guru like yourself...I was looking at the clamp and quill and thinking...what the heck is going on here?

I do have a couple of those Ti stems and one is like that. It is little lighter and welding looks even more neat on this one. I think is earlier. The ring came available in several anodized colours.

I would think the later edition is a little more superior in design. The clamping bits spread force more evenly and the ring is more grippy.

another question, were all 0 degree? I've not seen any with rise, steel or ti. not that i've seen a whole lot of these in the first place.

Ti are only in 0 degree. 4130 came with 3 or 10 degree ...and than there was a DH specific stem. It has a rise of 20 degree :shock:
