Hi folks,
Another priced to sell special, Race Face Next LP cranks with carbon inserts, in silver. 175mm long with compact PCD and square taper fitting. No rings with these cranks, but only 400g for the pair as they are.

Bit oif a strange story on these. I bought them ages ago for a weight weenie build that changed direction. They were all black but I was told that they'd been painted over and were actually the originally silver underneath. So I got to stripping the paint and soon realised they were actually a black ano set with touch-up paint to cover where it had been rubbed off! It was too late by then so I got out the wet'n'dry and did as good a job as I could before losing interest. So now the greater part of the cranks are shiny silver but there's still some tough-to shift black in places on the spider. Naturally the decals are long gone but perhaps gil_m could sort out a set.

Pedals threads and tapers are all very nice but the cranks removal thread on the drive-side is a bit worn and care is needed on the first couple of threads/turns. After that it engages just fine and removal is a cinch. I've done a fair job of rubbing down and smoothing out on both arms, but the spider would benefit from some more work to get out a few scratches where I used too coarse a grade of w'n'd. This should show in the pics which I'll attach asap.

Looking for £45 posted within the UK. Will post overseas at additional real cost, and would do so from Belgium and not the UK (more reliable).

Cheers, Gareth.

I'll post some up asap, waiting for the camera to charge!

I should have mentioned that robdem has first refusal on these since I offered them to him directly in response to an earlier posting of his.

Cheers, Gareth.

Pics now added though alas the non-flash ones don't show up the scratches I tied to describe. Having said that, they're hardly huge! With a bit more effort with fine grade wet'n'dry - or better still a Dremel - these would come up beautifully.

Cheers, Gareth.

Ok, robdem has passed so the order now runs as follows:

and as I'll be looking to post them this coming weekend (Sat or Mon) then it'll be good to sort it out over the coming few days. I'll be offline all of Friday.

Cheers, Gareth.
