TBH, I have no idea if these rings would work with a 9 speed chain. It does say use Shimano (whatever) chain only but Shimano has said to use their own chain for as long as I can remember. It never stopped me using a Sedis...
I think the internal width of 9 and 10 speed chains are the same;it's just the side plates are thinner on 10sp.
But, tis up to you. I'm not about to rake any giant leaps into the 21st century either!

I'll go for the cranks then. I would take the rings but think I'll fit some ones I already have, unless a super bulk discount is available
