Question about Merlin Titanium Serial Numbers

Hi,
I have what I think is an early 90’s Merlin Titanium Mountain Bike. I purchased it in 1998. It has what I think is a Cunningham Roller Cam rear brake. The serial number pressed into the frame is: 1828. I am trying to determine when it was built and any other information about it that I can.

Here is an excerpt from chart that I found:
Serial Numbers
1988 1 - 59
1989 60 - 139
1990 3518 - 3604

As far as I can tell, my serial number of 1828 is not represented in this chart. Am I missing something here? Thanks.

Re:

Whatever the details of the frame, I'd bet dollars-to-donuts you can find a better/more interesting brake brace than that (stock Shimano) one that's on it now.
