Proper CURVE cantilever brakes (not Kona)

They did two versions: the classic one that Kona pissed on the memory of and a very cool tubular magnesium one. Both good prices, the classic was 2/3rd the price of Grafton, the mag ones on par with Grafton.
Nice brakes, the classics were a bit boring shape wise and both were lacking finese in their hardware (exposed springs and spanner adjusts) but we're cool brakes non the less

Re:

Hmm interesting are they sought after today? I have a full bikes worth complete with hangers in 3DV I may move on.

Hi,
Just came across this thread.

Would these NOS jobbies be the good ones ?

Unfortunately ive not been able to use them , as 2 out of the 4 steel bushes that these brakes need are missing :(
Im never going to use them, so will probably sell them at a later date, unless some one could reproduce the bushes..

They seem to be very good quality..

Yup they are the ones

Brilliant, i thought they where..., cheer's..

Ive just been looking at mine, and have just noticed, the 2 steel bushes will only fit the red anodized ones, where as the black ones have a thicker brass section not needing this bushing !

Are your's the same , or do both have this bushing ?

I still have the original instructions, on the back is a hand drawn brake down of parts and fitting method, This shows that the steel bush must be glued on to fork canti stud first, and does not mention any thing about only one set having these bushes.

It shouldnt make any difference really, both fit on the fork stud perfectly..

This method is identical to my old avid 'tri-align' canties, having the glue in bush.., But my newer version 'avid tri-aligns' dont require this bush fitment..

Any way, the more i look at these brakes, the more i like them, plus i never realized the spring covers where carbon......, very cool...

I'm just about to put a full set of cobalt blue Curve brakes on e-bay. Plus there will be a set of JOES brakes too.
