i have a kona frame and p2's with a few other bits. i am getting the frame repainted in white and i think the fork and stem in gunmetal grey. The bits that are going on it are curve brake set, sram esp 9.0, ringle wheels, xtr bits but some of the other stuff is undecided...
couple of qns - the xtr cranks are scuffed - shall i get them painted and laquered in gunmetal grey to match the forks and stem?
also the rear mech is stars and stripes esp, hubs are blue - i was going to use a mix of red and blue ano parts
who thinks this will look good then as im undecided whether to just use blue parts and sell the esp or t go for the blue / red / white look?

Hey matey, the cobalt blue(darker than turquoise type!) will look real sweet with the ESP mech and stuff..I once polished up a pair of xtr arms to look like chrome but would be an hassle to keep looking good..Just an idea..You could defo get the right look by mixing red, blue, silver parts.Silver crank arms, red chainrings, blue bolts....
i did a YETI in early 90's in stars and stripes it did look MAD but a little patriotic :shock: Good luck, be good to see it finished..P.s. have you ever seen the mid 90's KONA HOT in stars and stripes?
