Proflex 757 (valuation?)

Hi there.

Im currently looking to sell my Proflex 757. I've recently had £120 worth of repairs to it, including both new inner tubes, tyres, brake cables, chain and back derailleur. I'm not really sure how much its worth to be honest.. but its in excellent condition! Any help with a price guide would be great.

Welcome Max. I'm not a Proflex expert but you will probably find some on here who will be able to tell you more accurately based on recent sales here and on ebay. In the meantime I would think that value-wise you're probably going to be disappointed. You won't get the recent £120 outlay back in the sale price since enthusiasts tend to have all these kind of parts spare in the garage already, they're not time-consuming to fit, and they probably would want to spec their own in any case. Also the quality of the components on it means it's unlikely that someone will be able to use it for the frame/fork and make any money back from the rest of the parts (though the brakes look like XT and the brake levers LX which would be ok - can't tell about the shifters or other gearing from the photo). Finally I would say the most desirable part of the bike is the fork and that seems to be pretty scratched up.

My guess would be something like £150-£170, but others will give you a more accurate estimate.
