I've been considering selling this frame for a while. I paid a goodly price for it a couple of years ago and then some more with import costs. But what is a fair selling price for such a frame? Your thoughts please.

Hand-built in the USA in limited numbers (it's said that only 75 were produced because of the horrendous production costs). Gusseted bi-ovalised down tube with bullet plug stays to reduce stress. It's disc and V compatible and in very good condition.

You may have seen a pic of it on a previous thread but here it is again.

Tough question. Depends on whether it's MY size or not :D

What's the most you've seen Hei Heis and KKs go for on the Bay?
What would a comparable U.S. Ti frame sell for second hand - Say a Cove?
I would guess it "should" be worth a fair premium over those prices.

Ultimately, the market will decide.
But I'll start the bidding at 1 s/h Hei Hei (mine) and a four-pack of beer...

stab in the dark - £600?

Going by average price of 2nd hand Hei Hei being £500 & yours being that much rarer, looks nice

Good luck with sale if you go for it

Score

I wouldnt sell it. I'd sell the KK as they're more readily available and if you decide you want another one then they do come up from time to time but when was the last time you saw a Score come up for sale. IMHO.

Arggghh! Haggis just speared me right in the heart! He's right of course. I'm gonna have to ponder some more.
Decisions, decisions...

As a rare as hens teeth, retro looking bike that has a load of legs left on it (what with 1 1/8", disc mounts and large suspension adjustment) I'd say sell the 'common' KK, they're just everywhere!

Score

I'm sure there's a few people cursing me right now for making you have second thoughts  but when selling a bike as rare as that you should always think twice.

I'd keep whichever bike you enjoy riding most. From what I've read the score is a pretty specialist bike. If you don't need the money though I'd probably break the other one down and keep the frame in the loft (or hung on the wall if you can get away with that).
