Power wash, what to oil now???

The lad's not wrong, you know. Furtive looking types bring their nearly new bikes into our workshop complaining about the bearings feeling rough. We open the hubs up and the grease has been replaced by grit and water. The modus operandi of the power sprayer laid bare for all to see.

Ok, so how do i go about opening the hubs and ting and oil/ grease it all. What Grease to use?

I use Castrol LM wheel bearing grease, it isn't bike specific but is cheap and since I service my hubs etc. regularly it does the job nicely.

Not such a good idea to use a powerwash on a bike

The pressure of it can wash grease out of sealed components

Lesson learned me thinks
