Anyone used a powder coater who were reasonably priced and can do a frame in these areas?
Not looking to spend too much as my local powder coaters is more expensive than my budget allows.
Cheers

I'm in Enfield and used Armourtex in Hackney/London. They did a flamboyant powder coat (green chameleon with silver sparkle) for about £80. A very thorough strip/clean/burn off/blast process was used before the new coating was applied. The job was done in 4 days from drop off to collection. Nice paint job, tubes internally looked brand new and rust free. Strangely, the frame seemed noticeably little lighter than before and chimed like a bell.

What with Armourtex having moved and hearing bad things about the new setup can anyone recommend a good alternative powdercoating service in London?

Thanks! It's a bit frayed round the edges now though with constant commuting. In all the time I've been on here, I've not actually got round to a build thread or posted whole pics of it (aside of small details or broken bits). I'm thinking of refurbing it again but in a different colour scheme, may be using the Spray.bike paints. I'll have to start a thread...

Re:

There's a thread on here with details of recommendations. Avoid colourtech. They are truly awful!

Have Armourtex gone bad?

They got bought out and the new operation is on some industrial estate around Ponders End/Totenham Hale. People had frames come back badly damaged and I think they've said now that they don't do bikes (concentrating on industrial work).
