postage cost to Germany (bike frame)

Hello, does anyone have a rough guess how much is postage cost to send a bike frame to Germany please?

I've managed it through parcel2go.com for £38 when packed in the smallest dimensions possible.

make sure your 100% certain on the costs before you state them, I came unstuck when posting a frame to the US, it cost twice what I thought I had been quoted.

parcel2go do a quick quote where you can work it out before you send. just make sure you've packed it up first so you know the exact dimensions and weight :shock:

guy if you use bubble wrap and no cardboard (lots of bubblewrap!) it will be much cheaper about £25 to europe from the PO

as above,a lot of places will charge for square feet of space when sending,youll be charged for all the space inside the box aswell

Parcel to go etc that use DHL about £40 if small box.

Damn expensive really cos of the equivalent volume-weight.

When i was buying and selling car bits a few years ago i used to use a company called Gefco, They were the cheapest around and would ship anything worldwide. They were especially cheap for Europe stuff. One i remember was 3 boxes weighing in at 30kg's from Manchester to London cost me £15+Vat.
They ship on weight not size so a frame i would imagine will be quite cheap to send.

Another thing i remember was it was sometimes cheaper to arrange the collection from the other side. In this case it may be cheaper to get Gefco Germany to collect it and ship over via Gefco UK.

Gefco is owned by peugeot and citroen , and they carry all the car parts around .
