Just discovered it will cost £1 to send a first class letter in Denmark from 1 april. That's a price hike of 35%!!!!

It ain't just rip-off Britain folks. We already had the world's most expensive postal service. Now it just got even more expensive.

Not most places. Beer is cheaper in the shops than in the UK actually. But in pubs it's about £4.50 a pint.....

Was thinking about opening a topic about these to learn from your experiences.
A forummember here would like a pair of wheels I have, but the shipping costs are enormous!
To send a box with 2 wheels in them (70x70x26 cm, 6 kgs) from the Netherlands to the UK, I get a quotation of 84 euro ! It is less in GBP's, but still killing a sale.
Any suggestions?

It is. But a quid a letter inland.... Thank God I don't send Christmas cards anymore!

I think it's a cunning ploy to phase out letters altogether so they can fire some posties. Dread to think what parcels are going to cost. They've been "rationalised" too so size is no longer a deciding factor, just weight.

Last time I sent a wheel it cost £15. But that was a front wheel..... and it was 18 months ago.
