in this case by 'risers' I assume you mean 'bars stolen from my nan's 30's sit-up-and-beg shopping trike'.

That'll be them. I applied the word "risers" because I didn't have another word in my vocabulary to describe them. They're pretty wild, aren't they?

Anyhoo, I can see why the rider opted for bar end extensions, that's what I would have done too, definitely.
