Polishing advice

It's caused by fading due to sun light. red anodising is a real bugger for it. To stand any chance you need to brasso the dark bits to try and rub through them to make them lighter. You'll just make it worse if you do the lighter bits.

Honestly, if it was me, I'd just put some new decals over the darker areas, there could be tears else.

I was toying with leaving it, but its more a case of "I've started now..." (3 hrs boring the wife last night polishing in the lounge! )

I seriously don't want to piss on your fireworks, but if you're gonna fit new decals anyway......leave well alone.

You'll save yourself tons of work and if you do mess up anodising there's no cheap fix.

Is it worth it.........really?? :?

While you have the GT decals off john you could put some Specialized ones on and pretend it's a good bike :D I won't tell anyone

I agree with Cherrybomb, Anodising is a pain as its very thin and once you take a little off it shows straight away unlike paint that is layered where you can afford to remove a bit.
