Peugeot P.U.M.A.

I know this bike is rubbish, its a bike shed at work clearout special left behind by some long departed student.
All I want to know is roughly how old it is, could make a pub bike out of it.

White with red fade at head tube end, says Carbolite 103 tubing, made in Canada stickers, lugged construction, 18 speed, thumb shifters and steel rimmed wheels which will definitely be junked.

Any help appreciated, feel free to say unkind words about it !

Cheers

My own researches suggest late 80's or early 90's as Peugeot Canada sold to Procycle at about that time and Peugeot badged bikes from Canada stopped.

Carbolite 103 also appears to be Hi-Tensile steel.

Think I'll buid it up single speed and use it as my steed for Single Speed UK championships 2008 at Drumlanrigg.

I'm aiming for last place anyway !

Cheers

Another Peugeot P.U.M.A!

I've just rescued one of these as a rough knock-about bike for my son.

Same colour as yours...do you still have it and have any photos you could upload?

I'll take one when it's cleaned up a bit, as it looks like it's not been ridden in a while!

Cheers

Closer inspection proved it was too far gone with too much that was seized to be worth the effort of repair. It went to the great skip in the sky long ago. Not a great bike, only worth rescuing iff in pristine nick
