Pennine

Not so long ago I saw a Pennine rigid mountain bike in Leeds. It was steel- Reynolds 501 I think- with some kind of plating [Chrome, Nickel?] and black writing. I thought it looked pretty tasty and unusual. I know that Pennine are a frame builder in Bradford who are best known for their road bikes but I didn't know that they'd done Mountain Bikes for people. Anybody know anything about these? If one comes up for sale is it worth making an offer?

did think they were a shop brand ,maybe even edinburgh bike co-op
tho not seen a plated ebc , usually painted
