Pedal spindle washers

Modern cranks and pedals come with big washers these days.

Do you use this on your vintage pedals/cranks?

Essential to protect carbon cranks but also keeps alloy ones nice. So 'yes' I do (truvativ ones).

Never used a pedal washer on any vintage bike (i.e. up to about 1999). Also never worked on/repaired any vintage bike that had pedal washers.
