PC Help (Again)!

Old School Grand Master
I have a bit of a problem. I seemed to pick up some malware. Malwarebytes took care of it and it has never appeared on any scan since. Now the odd bit. The screen grab below shows what happens whenever I click on a .AVI file from my camera. It is an ordinary (quite new) Samsung digital camera that does short movie clips too. I thought maybe there was something 'hiding' on the camera drive, so I formatted it. Last night the same ting happened. I took a new short movie and soon as I clicked on it the warning appeared. The .avi file then becomes a pest and I get a message up saying that some other program is using the file and I can't delete it. I have to restart the pc in safe mode to get rid of it. Subsequent scan with Malwarebytes and McAfee come up clear.

I don't have any problem with still images from the camera which, like I said has had the memory formatted.
Does McAfee hate my camera and just have an irrational hatred of .avi files or is there more to it?

Thanks, as ever.

have you installed any new programs recently?specifically ones that are for pictures or films?

No, I was only using Explorer to copy etc. My PC is protected and scanned often as I have to plug customer's USB sticks into almost every day.

Though I edited mine to add first update Mcafee just in case, then again to update windows to plug any holes.

Also I hope you have 'autorun' turned of so the USB devices cannot run anything instantly, also you have Mcaffee to scan the USB drive the minute it's seen ;)
