Hi people,
I have a Pashley tandem for sale and thought I'd offer it on here before putting it on ebay. It is in need of tlc and a rebuilt or new rear wheel. The existing wheel is probably the original and finally decided to break a few spokes with the result that it now cannot be ridden due to the buckled wheel. As I said, I think it is 1970's but has had a bad paint job done at some time in its life. Everything works apart from the rear wheel, just not very well. It has centre pull brakes (two on back wheel) which appear to have a retarding rather than a stopping effect, 5 speed with shifter on the handlebar stem, comfy saddles and 26" steel rims. I have put straight bars on the front but still have the curved, sit up and beg type bars to match the stokers if you want them. The pilot position is a bit cramped if you're over 6' and I think it has what is known as a "ladyback" - ie: for a smaller person. With a new/rebuilt rear wheel this could be used straight away for those gentle summer cruises to the pub (as long as there are no big hills) or with some work could become a nice retro tandem.
Obviously this is too large to post so collection will be necessary unless you live within 10'ish miles or so of me and then I'm sure we can arrange something.
