Parkpre 825

It's been re-listed several times already, he did have a starting bid of 300 the first time, the second time the reserve was not met. I can take a guess his reserve is close to 300.

He says in the description that the reserve is £275. I don't understand the reasoning in setting a high reserve and saying what it is, yet allowing far lower bids.

My 'whole is less than the sum of the parts' calculation is that the sum of the parts is just over £500, so a sensible auction should yield c£350. But this isn't a sensible auction and Park Pre isn't well known, so £250-300 more likely.

I know Retrobike is a small audience, but I would have thought this bike might well sell on the for sale forum if he asked for £350 and was willing to accept £300.

I missed the reserve price in the listing.

If he took some better pictures and wrote a decent description including the words "Tange Ultimate Superlight" then he will reach his reserve without a problem. As you rightly pointed out many people have not heard of Parkpre and wouldn't realise it is a quality steel frame.
