Pace RC31 carcon /magnesium forks with V brake adaptor, 440

tenbikes

Retro Guru
Steerer 202mm, suspension corrected 440mm length complete with the V brake adaptos (removeable, or turn round for behind the leg fitting)

No star nut fitted 'cos I used a Hope Head Doctor, but I will supply a new star nut.

Used on my single speed commuting bike, but I have just built a Rig 29er single speed so these forks won't work for me.

£95 complete, plus postage, your choice of service, but I'd recommend Special Delivery for the signature and insurance.

flatfix seems to have dropped off the other side of the world so I guess these are still up for grabs..................

if we were to compare them with SIDs suspended forks, they would be the equivalent of a 65 or 80 mm suspension fork ? I am a layman in suspended forks but wonder about the change of geometry as I have got oldish frames
these 65 or 80 are actually not the true added length between a rigid and a suspended fork ? right ?

I'm no expert either but I guess if you measure your fork length when preloaded (centre drop out to crown race) you would be looking for something similar on a rigid fork,

But I wonder how far out it would have to be before you would notice a difference, and for how long you would notice. Obviously if there is a big difference you are going to feel the change in head angle, but I don't know how many mm = big in this case.

And you might even like the new angle better?

Finally, if it is that critical, then surely even changing a tyre size will affect things? (eg 1.9 cf 2.2 or 2.5)

I dunno, I just fit and ride:)
