Orbit road frames

Hi. I'm thinking of starting a new retro road project, and would quite like some British steel, circa late 80s/early 90s. There's a nice looking Orbit frameset on the bay currently, but can't find any info in the manufacturers archive on here. I vaguely recall that their mtbs got some good reviews in the 90s. Has anyone on here ever owned or ridden one?

Someone will remember what the current brand name is - I'm sure Orbit or bits of it are still around.

I've had an early 1990's tourer, a cross bike and a sprinkling of MTB's. The frames were always well built and nicely finished.

I have read Orbit started in the Birmingham area and have been built in Sheffield since the 1980's.

I have an early Parker Thompson Orbit frame set it is a Dudley build .
