Finally decided I've got to let my lovely Vitamin T go. Got my dream bike from bitd earlier this year from Ed but it's just a little bit too big for me. I need to loose a couple of inches off the top tube for it to be a perfect fit and that would mean a 100mm or less stem which would be plain wrong on a retro classic imo. Turns out 19" is my size even though I'm quite tall. Must have short arms or something
Measurments are:
Seat tube c to c- 19.5"
Seat tube c to top- 21"
Top tube c to c- 23.5"
Headset- 1 1/8th.
Included in the sale are the frame, original alu Orange forks, Shimano XT threaded headset in very good condition, seat post bolt and purple bottle cage bolts.
Most of the other parts will be available later but only after the frame has gone.
Condition of the frame is very, very good with only a few small nicks to a few of the decals. I'm sure other members that have seen the bike will back this up
This is one of the original Vit-T's and they don't come up very often, especially in this condition. The serial number dates it as a December 1992 frame so I guess it'd have been in the shops in early 1993.
I can honestly say that this is the only bike I've ever riden that feels like it's dragging you up the hills instead of you lugging the bike up. First titanium frame I've had and I couldn't believe how much trail buzz the ti soaks up. I'll defo be looking for another one in a 19" flavour.
I'm looking for £350 posted *for reference, sold for £325* for the parts mentioned. Anyone local is more then welcome to come and view the bike. I'll leave it built up for now so interested parties can have a spin on it if they fancy. Please state your interest on this thread and follow it up with a PM. Feel free to contact me for any more pictures or information.
I may consider a swap for a 19" Vit or possibly some Fat content so I'd be happy to see what's on offer.
