Hello all. Here I have for sale a project that never got finished. I bought this in a ebay rage without really thinking what I was going to do with it and forgetting that I have at least three other retro bikes that can do exactly the same job.
Anyway, having changed a few parts, tinkered a bit and tried to think for a use for it the simple fact is I have no room and no real need for the bike so I'm offering it back out there.
The frame is a 1994 Orange Clockwork making it the last batch of Clockwork's before they changed to c16. It looks like the previous owner got hold of a decent set of replica decals as they are very bright and tidy. It's a bit of a triggers broom so here's what you get:
Orange Clockwork 19" frame.
Rockshox Quadra 21 forks.
Mavic 230TIB rims on STX-RC hubs.
XT rear mech.
LX front mech.
STX-RC headset.
DX brake levers.
STX (I think) shifters and canti's.
Orange Lite Stik seatpost with WTB saddle.
Orange SK8 stem with what I believe are Hot Rod bars but the decals have worn off.
Charge Splashback tyres.
Unknown but full working bottom bracket.
Basically you only need a crankset, pedals, chain and gear cables to get going and I can supply all but the crank set with it although can't vouch for the quality of what I've got stored.
Good bits about the bike are the shifters that are mint, them tyres have hardly been used and the new decals make it look fresh.
The bad bits are that the rear wheel could do with truing and the bearings are a bit grumbly. Also, the rear mech feels a bit sloppy although seemed to work when I got the bike.
Overall this is a decent, easy project to finish that should make someone a nice bike. It does need a little tlc and time spent but that's part of the fun eh!
I'm looking for around £120 posted to the UK for the lot as I need to recoup the outlay. I may consider splitting but would prefer it all to go at once really. Feel free to contact me for more information.
