Orange Aluminium"O" + Syncros bar/stem*SOLD*

Hi all.

Next up for the boy"O"boy clearout/ downsize of collection is my Orange/White fade Aluminium 'O'.
The stealth black " " is staying in the collection, so to have 2 of the same bike means this one has to go.

A few details -

The frame number is A91020020 - This is a feb '91 frame, the 1st batch of Aluminium 'O's and is the 20th one produced. It is the earliest known Aluminium 'O' frame on retrobike. I rode 3 rounds of the national series last year on this frame ( hence the stickers!) and 3 laps of Mountain Mayhem. The frame is straight and is crack and dent free.
The frame has been hand stripped, etch primed, then professionally re-sprayed in the classic orange and white fade. The graphics are vinyl cut and have been lacquered in for durability.
The frame is a 17" ( c to c ), the headtube takes a 1 1/4" headset/stem/steerer, the seat post size is 27.2mm, the front mech size 31.6mm dia. Comes complete with a 122.5mm x 68mm UN54 bottom bracket and kalloy seat clamp ( minus lever )
There are a few chips on the driveside chainstay ( see pics ) but the chainset covers most of these.

1 1/4" threaded steerer Pace RC35 AB ( air balanced) forks. 155mm steerer with top inch threaded. I ran this with a stronglight headset.
Good condition, elastomers work well ( they had been justbackdated rebuilt when I bought them ), slight chip on the 1 1/4" specific crown but nothing major. Missing the plastic fork leg bottoms. 8/10 condition

* WHITE * Syncros 1 1/4" cattleprod quill stem ( 130mm length/ zero deg rise )and shimmed bars (580mm width) These have been resprayed in gloss white with black reproduction decals - not lacquered in so some of the 'heat treated' letters have worn a little. 7/10 condition ( pic to follow )

Hi John.
Measurements -
C to C = 16"
C to Top = 17"
Top tube C to C = 21"
Down tube C to C = 23"
chain stays = 16.5"

I'm 5' 10" and ran this with a 425mm seatpost - probably about 5" exposed. I found this a better riding position than the 19" frame I had before. No idea on saddle height when assembled - I'm 32" inseam?

John - i had a quick spin on this @ FoD ride last year and it suited me perfectly. From memory we're pretty identical dimensionally (although I'm a tad heavier.. :roll: )

...And I have 4 of these all this size, and like Ben I have to agree they're a good fit.

Sizing is always a vague point tho, isn't it, cos we all like a slightly different set-up..
