Opinions on build specs ?

I'd like to have some opinions about my planned build specs for I have huge dilemmas

1) Specialized Epic Ultimate

* Brakes will be Dia-Compe 986 but black or silver ? I have 'em both but the silver ones are in better shape.
* Tyres: Now built with Specialized Ground Controls with black sidewalls. Also possible to use Ground Control II /S, Ground master /S tyres with tan sidewalls. Which ones to use ? The original tyres would be GC Extremes, but those are hard to find.


2) S-Works Carbon

* Purple parts or not ? Have Control Tech Ti skewers, Dirt Rodz bar ends, bottle cages etc. in 3D Violet but should I use them or not ?
* TNT cranks & GT Ti BB or XTR M900 & UN91 BB ? Other parts are XTR M900.
* XTR M900 seatpost or American Classic Ti ? The stem is S-Works Ti.
* XTR M900 or Nuke Proof carbon hubs ? Nuke Proofs are cool and they fit the FSX fork nicely.

Go with the Silver 986s - polish always stands up longer than black.

Depends on how close to factory speck you want to keep it.

The Epics were always so subtle compared to what everyone else was doing at the time.


IMHO:

Go with the nicer silver 986's or the Epic Ultimate.

On the S-Works, keep it to blacks and silvers. There are plenty of other bikes that are made for bright colors.
You can never go wrong with M900 across the board...it'll work great.
If you want to mix it up AmClassic and NP would look pretty cool I must admit.
