I'm only getting about an inch of travel from my Judy DH's - elastomers seem ok when I open them up - I assume it's the cartridges? What was the original travel for these forks? Wasn't it more like 80mm?

I seem to remember a thread about cartridge servicing (or not servicing as I think the conclusion was) - what should I look to do? Are they easy to winkle out?

Found a copy of the manual so will have a more invasive investigation when time permits...

take lots of pics please :D as iv'e never had the chance to delve into judy dh's should be real easy (he say's) good luck :D 8) if not crc for 1" mazzochi's

cheers buddy just gonna go off and drag drop so pics into my loser manual for forks and parts   im not joking gotta files apon files on this computer with links as well to servicing nearly ever bike part ever made   i think i need an anerake now

80mm is about right. Even though the elastomers look ok I would almost certainly say they are at fault, not the carts. Mine looked fine but had the same problem so I bought a set of springs from ebay.com (there's always a number on there and the guy says no international on his auctions but does if you're nice) and the problem was solved!

On the subject then...

How well should the damper cartridge work?

On modern forks i can set the rebound by riding slowly off a tall curb. Did the damping on Judy's ever work this well? I took out the cart on my XC's and there was resistance and no apparant leaks...

so I just do a search on "Rockshox Judy springs"? Are they specific to DH or would XC or SL do - are they different lengths?
