Oh ffs... Mum came off bike.

Seen as just doing a bit of light riding my Mum came with us.
We do a certain route that she likes.
Going to turn right where we always turn right but she went straight on, so we collided and she ended up in the road flat down.
So quickly go to help, bit shook up, damaged hand and grazed knee and possible black eye...there is a bump :|
Not happy...she sat down for about 10 mins and we still about 1.5 miles from home.
She is currently sitting down with a cuppa tea.
Even though she looks good for it she is 66 years old.

Was she on a 29er? If she was she'd have rolled straight over you.

Hope she's ok.

We may get her a 29er after this incident.
She will be wearing a helmet after this, same with boy, he never bothers.
We never wore helmets as kids, I think helmets are much more essential these days.
Helmets look cool these days.

Re:

Mum speaking to desk officer at the local police station while pointing at black eye ... "my son did this to me"

Good luck digging yerself outta that one

Re:

sorry to hear that, not good.

who collided with who?

as for helmets... yes get her one, and anyone else who rides with you. I never wore a helmet until I was about 16 (many years ago now!), but I never go out for a ride without it. non-cycling colleagues sometimes ask me why I always wear a helmet when I'm on my bike, and I say for the same reason I wear a seatbelt in a car, chances are I won't need it, but if I ever do have real need of it then it could help avoid a serious injury, or even a minor one.

Sorry to hear about it, older peeps dont bounce as well.

Were you not riding single file? Even so, accidents will happen.
