something tells me the interview on the front page had nothing to do with the offer that took this one. Though it looks a lil rough, this is one of the better ORT frames I've seen in a long time, that was actually available for sale.

Shame it didn't reach completion, but I'm thinking it went for about double where it was at; let's say $1400? What do you guys think, too low or too high?

If the seller sold it for anything less than $1400, yes, too bad for the seller. I know of at least two people that were going to bid hard for this. Maybe someone should email the seller, and link him to this thread.

It may have sold for more. I don't think at this point anyone knows what it sold for other than the seller and buyer.... and the buyers wife (assuming a dude bought it... and that he's married) who is going to kick his arse for spending the rent money on a "rusty decrepit old steel frame" :?

It's hard to say what it would have gone for.

On the plus side it was a fillet brazed one and in green.

but

On the minus side it is pretty small - probably way too small for most riders, its faded (note how there are only photos of one side), the paint finish is hard replicate as are the early decals too.

I also think that assuming it was pulled because of an outside sale is maybe a little limited. It could equally have been claimed by the original owner from whom it was stolen in 1993 for all we know.

Getting back to the possible price, well I think maybe its a little high - unless you really really wanted one
