Sorry for the delay, but the measurement I had written on the outside of the box was incorrect. I'm adding a photo with the actual measurement: 27 mm.

I would say that is 27.2. The 0 is past the 27 and the 2 lines up perfectly... unless my eyes deceive me!

Id still say 27.2, it's definitely beyond 27 dead...might be a knats cock below taking into account variation in ringle's machining process back in the day

It's 27.2mm. As Paddy points out, the 2 lines up perfectly - I've marked up an image below. For anyone who's not aware, that's how you read a Vernier.
