Not really sure what to ask for, self adhesive backing tape?

hi all
I need some form of self adhesive tape. basically like double sided sellotape, but its thicker, kinda like a thin strip of foam, but adhesive on both side. its to stick some disc brake cable guides onto a frame.
any ideas where I can buy something suitable, or online links appreciated

Sounds like those white pads you can by sticky on both sides, small oblong shape. Supermarkets sell them in their stationery aisles with the bluetack and cellotape.

The number plate mounts that halfrauds sell could be choped up and used, they are very strong

It's used for car badges, trim etc. One trick is to use a hairdryer to warm the tape and frame beforehand - it sticks much better then.

No foam involved, but double sided carpet tape is extremely sticky.

On the same lines. I can get a roll of industrial double-sided tape if wanted. You'd have to cut the bits to size though. PM if interested and I can post on Friday
