I would pay nothing because i don't like silver rims. :D
But seriously... the wheelset looks to be in good condition. Rims look like new and the hubs, too.
If the white dirt on the spokes is infact only dirt, this wheelset looks like a good buy.
The obvious downside is that there is no cassette.
I would pay between £55-65 shipped.

Thanks Adam.

The seller is asking ~85£ (or 120€ :D ) and its pity the casette is missing. The spokes only have dust, no rust. Seller has casettes also but ask more for a set....To mutch I also think.

I fact here is a simalar set for sale on RBuk, but whit a casette. He is asking 55£ shipped to UK.

You are right Brocklanders.
They do look like newish Alexrims rims. Okish rims but nothing that fancy for me to consider paying the asking price.
This is a set that is nothing for a wall hanger. This is something to ride around in the dirt.
If someone wants 120€ for a wheelset than there be better some Mavics or Campagnolo rims on it for me to be interested personally or at least some period correct Wolbers.
But i know that the retro world is gone crazy and the seller will probably get what he wants, just not from me. ;)
On the other hand the condition of this wheelset is nice so it's not that the seller himself is way out.
It always comes down to the same question: How bad do you want a certain thing?

What rims are they? That makes all the difference price wise IMO.
The rims are Alexrims X2100, just found out as I asked the seller.

Funny thing is the seller is saying they are rare.....

I will however use them for riding in the dirt.....the other set I looked at is this: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... p;t=319765

Well, I will need a second wheel set along to the DX/regina one I just buoght (thanks Jamis Diablo), but might just get a set of hubs also, as I have a set of wheels whit OK rims but shoot hubs. For colors, I like silver rims and black rims, but like better silver/polished hubs than black hubs. Don`t know if Purple hubs....

This sounds like a plan. Get a set of hubs and build the wheels yourself.
It's fun to do and not so difficult like it may seem. There are many how to's here in the forum but also on youtube.
So you can build it the way you like it and with a color combination that suits you.
It will be cheaper because you already have some rims and when you are finished building you will know more about wheels and have something to be proud of.
