Hi everyone! I got some inquiries about the odd PD color of this fuselage. I asked a few friends with more knowledge about Klein and I have learned a few things I need to share with you.
The fuselage is from 1991 with a 27.2 diameter seatpost. This makes it odd being painted as Painted Desert. I’ve been told that it very well could be repainted by Klein in 1993/1994 for a returning customer. This was done often back in the days. Other option is that the fuselage was never sold in 1991 and Klein decided to paint it PD in 1993/4. All I can tell is that to my knowledge this fuselage is 100% Klein original color (I compared it with two original PD MC2’s). With the unknown history I understand value is difficult to determine. I already lowered my asking price and will take Best Offer. Thanks for your understanding and have a great day, Marcel
