Free bump for a trusted seller - co-ordinated shipping a frame over to me from the USA as smooth as you like :)

Forgive my ignorance - this is a genuine question and not a comment on the pricing.

But what makes these worth 3-4 times as much as a NOS set of CODA Magics, which for all intents and purposes are the same crank, aren't they? They have the same arms, same BB, same Chainrings (albeit black)...

As I said, I'm not having a go at the pricing, as I'm sure there's a good reason why they're the price that they are, and there's no doubting their rarity :)

These are the original [Alex Pong?] MMC cranks, pre tie-up with Cannondale.

They are pretty much bespoke, and way way rarer than the CODA 'equivalents' with different methods used to form them which changed to a cheaper production method with Can...

Trying to think of a good comparison but can't at the moment...

Maybe Curve pre/post Kona when quality / methods changed to allow mass production.

In terms of material comparisons the costs between the two cranks might seem ridiculous, but it's the rarity value that's up for grabs.

If I had the money lying around I wouldn't think twice about grabbing them.

Also, just to second that the seller is a top top banana. He went above and beyond to selflessly help me with some USA to UK shipping [when original seller wasn't interested] and everything arrived beautifully packaged.

BB.

Thanks BB :)

As I said, I wasn't being funny - just wanted to know what set them apart from CODA Magics, and you've answered it nicely ;)

Cheers

Blimey, how much for a set of the original MM cranks then
