The tyres are non-folding which IMO is better for storage reasons, the tyre is stored round and not folded up into a box which can crease the bead and sidewalls in places.

This pair is absolutely mint and will ride and last for ages. Here's some more pictures. Release agent is still present, plus the continental wording is moulded into the tread and also embossed around the sidewall, nice subtle touches I think!
