Anyone else doing the Manchester to Liverpool on 30th May? I'm doing it with a mate from work - hopefully help to get me fit :).

It's 38 miles and starts at the Quays in Salford and follows the Trans-Pennine trail all the way into Scouseville. I'll be doing it on the Yates to show that retro-bikes are cooler than any other kind (like I need to tell you guys  )

Linky.

the forst time I did that ride, I must have passed 50 people fixing puntures just on the outskirts of Liverpool....there's more broken glass on that there trail than you can shake a stick at....make sure you fit some slime tubes or at least some good punture resistant tyres...you won't regret it!

I'm thinking of doing it on my 2 speed Brompton this year!

Lol - I've just put a set of Continental Travel Contact tyres on. They claim to be virtually puncture proof  . My Yates will be wearing 9-speed on the day - I'll the one putting his chain back on every 200 yards...

Would have loved to have joined toy for that but will be in Wales  It's my old stomping ground.

Have a good one!

Cheers,

Chaser.
